Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
List Total is a utility that adds a running cost total to your Apple Reminders lists. It is built to work entirely on your device and within your own iCloud account. This policy explains what that means for your data.
The short version
List Total has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. There is no backend to send your data to, so we never see your lists, your items, or anything you type into the app.
Where your data lives
Your lists and items are stored in Apple Reminders. If you have iCloud enabled, Reminders data syncs across your devices through Apple's iCloud service, exactly the way the built-in Reminders app already does. That data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us. List Total never copies your lists anywhere else.
Reminders access
List Total asks for permission to access your Reminders so it can read and display your lists and save the items, costs, and quantities you enter. This access is used only to provide the app's core features. You can review or revoke it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders.
On-device settings
A small amount of preference data — such as your display and sorting options — is stored locally on your device using the system's standard settings storage. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us or anyone else.
What we don't do
- No user accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
- No third-party data sharing.
- No collection of your name, email, location, or contacts.
Children's privacy
List Total does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised version here.
