Reporting a bug

The more of this you can include, the faster it gets fixed. None of it is required — send what you have.

  • What you did, what you expected, and what happened instead.
  • The name of the list it happened on, if it only affects one list.
  • Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
  • Your List Total version (App Store → your account → List Total).
  • A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.

Feature requests

Send them to the same address. List Total is deliberately small — it adds a running total to lists you already keep in Apple Reminders, and most of what it does not do, it does not do on purpose. That said, requests genuinely shape what gets built next, so tell us what you are missing.

Common questions

How do I add a price to an item?

Tap the price on the right side of any item row to enter or change its cost. Tap the item's name to edit the name and its quantity. If an item has a quantity, List Total multiplies the quantity by the price and adds the result to the running total at the top of the list.

Why does List Total need access to Reminders?

Your lists are Reminders lists. List Total does not keep its own copy of your data — it reads the lists and items already in Apple Reminders and saves the costs and quantities you enter back to them. Without Reminders access there is nothing for the app to total.

I denied Reminders access. How do I turn it back on?

Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Reminders and turn on the switch for List Total. You can also tap Open Settings on the app's permission screen to jump straight there. The same path lets you revoke access at any time.

How do I add a list I already have in Reminders?

On the main screen, tap the … button and choose Import Lists. Every editable Reminders list that is not already in List Total will be offered. You can also choose New List there to create one from scratch — it will show up in Reminders too.

Can I hide items I have already checked off?

Yes. Open a list, tap the … button, and choose Completed Items…. From there you can hide completed items entirely, and separately choose whether their cost still counts toward the list's total — useful when you want the total to show only what is left to buy.

If I remove a list from List Total, does it delete it from Reminders?

No. Removing a list from List Total only takes it out of this app. The list stays in Reminders until you delete it there yourself. The app tells you this before it removes anything.

Do my lists sync across my devices?

They sync exactly the way your Reminders already do. List Total has no server and no account of its own — if Reminders is syncing through iCloud, your lists, items, costs, and quantities travel with it.

Is List Total available on iPad or Mac?

Version 1.0 is designed for iPhone. It can be installed on an iPad, where it runs at iPhone size, but the iPad layout is not finished yet — a proper one is planned for a future update.

The text is too small for me to read comfortably.

List Total follows the system text size. Open Settings → Display & Brightness → Text Size and drag the slider, or Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size → Larger Text for the full accessibility range. The app's type — including the item rows and totals — scales with it. If something still reads poorly, please tell us which screen.

What happens to my data?

Nothing leaves your device and your own iCloud account. List Total has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
